  • What type of project do I have?
    As-built: My plans are not up to date. The previous owner or I built without approved plans and I need to get them updated and approved.
    New Development: I want to build from scratch on an empty stand.
    Additions & Alterations: I want to add or alter my existing house or structures.
    Obtaining Documentation: I don’t have any plans or documentation and need assistance obtaining them from the local authority
  • How do I know if my plans have been approved?
    Look for a municipal stamp that reads "approved." Ensure that everything on the plan matches your house or structures.
  • I bought my house with carports that are not on the plans. Do I need to update them?
    Yes, the current owner is responsible for ensuring that all structures are updated and approved, even if they were not originally erected by you. It is your responsibility to have approved plans for your property.
  • How long does it take to approve my plans?
    Once the quote is accepted, we will begin drafting your additions and existing structures. After submission to the local authority, approval can take anywhere from 6 to 12 weeks, depending on the complexity and the number of departments involved.
  • Do I need plans for a Wendy house?
    Yes, according to the latest legislation, Wendy houses need to be included in the plans and approved.
  • I have no plans. Can you obtain my plans from the municipality?
    Yes, we can assist in obtaining your plans from the municipality.
  • How much does it cost to retrieve my plans from the municipality?
    The cost will be displayed on our quote page, as prices vary by area.
  • How do I know if the council will approve my new structures?
    We will conduct a site visit and inform you if there are any issues with approval.
  • What additional fees are there when approving plans?
    Our quotes include all necessary costs, such as those for engineers, fire consultants, and municipality runners. If additional costs arise, we will inform you beforehand. Municipal fees are excluded as they can only be determined after the plans are drawn up and square meters are calculated.
  • What additional fees are there when changing the design we are working on?
    If changes are made early in the process, costs will be minimal. Significant changes that result in wasted time will be charged at an hourly rate.
